Canadian provinces offer over 80 unique immigration programs focused on their specific economic and employment needs
The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces to nominate persons who wish to settle in a particular province.

Each Canadian province has its own unique Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Each province for instance has at least:

  • one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration programs,
  • one stream for potential entrepreneurs, and
  • another stream for persons with a valid job offer in the province.
If you secure a provincial nomination, you would be awarded an additional 600 points as an Express Entry candidate, which would generally guarantee you obtaining Permanent Residency. It is important to note that most PNPs require you to apply for them directly (outside of the Express Entry system). It is therefore important to figure out which programs you could qualify for, and we can assist you to do that.

What is the application process?
How you will apply depends on which Provincial Nominee Program stream you're applying to. You might need to apply using the paper-based process, or by the online process through Express Entry.

As part of the process, you will have to pass a medical exam and get a police check (certificate). Everyone must have these checks, no matter where they plan to live in Canada.

The process includes:
  • Applying to the province for nomination under a stream
  • Meeting the eligibility requirements of the province that nominates you.
  • Once nominated, applying for permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Can you list the various programs that I can apply for?
In order to apply, you must follow the instructions on the websites of each province. The PNP websites are listed here, so feel free to browse them yourself. If you work with us, we will be able to narrow down exactly which PNPs you would likely qualify for.

Criteria by province and territory vary and can change without notice.
Can you apply for PNPs through the Express Entry process?
Yes, there are a handful of PNPs that you can apply for via Express Entry process. But the majority of PNPs require you to apply for them outside of the process.

In the Express Entry process, there are 2 ways to apply:

  • You contact the province or territory and apply for a nomination under an Express Entry stream.
  • If the province or territory agrees to nominate you, you create an Express Entry profile (or update your profile if you already have one) and show you have been nominated.

  • You create an Express Entry profile and show the provinces and territories you're interested in.
  • If a province or territory sends you a "notification of interest" to your account, you contact them directly.
  • You apply to their Express Entry stream:
    • If you're nominated, the province will offer it to you through your account, and you accept it electronically.
